Charlie Baker Time Trial - July 25, 2012 |

I rode the Charlie Baker Time Trial last evening with 8 other Crack O' Dawn / Macgregors riders: in starting order, Dan G., Alan G., me, Brian I., Peter V., Jerry J., Dave L., Tom K., and John "not Sales" S. The "other" Tom K. captured photos at the finish, including the shot at left, a new favorite of mine. My finish was strong enough for me to claim the Lantern Rouge from among our group of 9. I'd ridden this race once before, almost exactly a year ago. That's right, 0.2 seconds difference, or 0.012%. In 2011, I rode with clip-on aero bars. This year, I rode with better wheels and better fitness. Therefore, aero bars = wheels plus fitness. |
