T H E  E N D
My morning began with a 5am wakeup call, an hour drive through a light mist/rain, and a 6:20am arrival at the Mount Wachusett base. Less than ten minutes later, I was on my bike and in the rain for the steep ascent to the park entrance and the service road to the summit. That first climb behind me, I wheeled onto the service road, but as the signs and helpful work crew clearly indicated, this was not to be my day to reach the summit. Instead, I took a spin around the mountain's base, including several miles on dirt, before packing it in and heading for work. cue sheet back to Up Wachusett home | back to portfolio | back to deepbrook home
